Gabriel Jesus

The more obvious of the choices would be the number 9 of the Gunners. The ace striker has moved from the blue of Manchester to the red of Arsenal this summer and has had quite a fruitful start to his new journey, with 5 goals and 5 assists to his name so far. He is not a one-dimensional striker as he drops deep and helps in build-up play as well, which will help the Selecao during the World Cup.

Roberto Firmino

While it looked like Darwin Nunez’s arrival and Jota’s rise would be the end of Firmino’s career in Liverpool, Bobby has proven the haters wrong with 8 goals and 4 assists in 13 games so far for the reds. Like Jesus, he too gets himself involved in the build-up and can play as a False-9, which could be beneficial for the Selecao.

Neymar Jr

While this isn’t the position that the winger with all the flair prefers to play at, it is a position that he could play in, considering Brazil’s strength in their wings.  With 12 goals and 9 assists in 16 outings so far, the stylish player is having a ball in Paris and would be looking to carry forward the same to Qatar.

Even though Richarlison’s absence is a blow for Brazil, as they were counting on him to deliver in his very first World Cup, they are not short of quality and should be well-stacked for the grand event of the World Cup.
